Dear Schalmont Community,

It is with the heaviest of hearts that Schalmont shares with our community that Davin Yap, one of our Jefferson students, passed away over the weekend following a car accident.

Davin was a beloved student and our entire Schalmont community sends our deepest sympathies to his family and all who knew him in this incredibly difficult time.

Schalmont’s school counselors and social workers are prepared to support any students, families, faculty or staff who need assistance. Mental health support will be available at the following locations this week:

• Jefferson Elementary: Monday – Friday, 9:00 to 11:30 a.m.
• Schalmont Middle School: Monday and Tuesday, 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

If you need assistance outside of these times, please email Superintendent Dr. Thomas Reardon (treardon@schalmont.net) and we will make sure support is arranged. As a Sabre Family, it is our job to take care of one another.
