What’s better than a guest reader? When the author and rescue dog the book is written about show up too! 🐶📖
Last week, parent volunteer Jessica Griesbeck visited Mrs. Kearney’s 5th grade class to read “Pearl Eats Pickles in her Pillow Fort” and “Pearl’s Journey in Search of a Home”.
“She surprised the students by having author Terry Bushey and Pearl the dog come into our classroom to answer questions about the book and talk about kindness with the kids,” explained Mrs. Kearney.
Mrs. Bushey’s books help raise awareness and support her efforts to help animals, which includes dog rescue groups, therapy dogs, and other efforts.
