Schalmont’s Elevating Student Voices club enjoyed an opportunity to share all their great efforts this year at a regional summit at Proctors Theatre last week!

High school students Aubrey Birch, Niya McKeon, Trinity Randle and Asiyah Udemgba participated in the Elevating Student Voices Summit at Proctors Theatre .

“The conference provides students from across the Capital District an opportunity to collaborate and create ways to ensure all students feel included and accepted at school,” explained School Social Worker and Club Advisor Mrs. Williams. “Students in the Schalmont Elevating Student Voices Club have implemented projects like the Box Challenge and 5th grade lessons on kindness this school year.”

Students also got to meet the keynote speaker, and Schalmont alum, Michael Saccocio who serves as Executive Director of the City Mission of Schenectady.
