Dear Schalmont Families,
As the new school year approaches, we are finalizing summer preparations, including the distribution of parking permits for eligible students. Below is information about the approval needed for seniors or juniors to park at the High School Campus.
Parking Eligibility and Guidelines:
- Only 11th and 12th grade students are permitted to drive to school.
- 12th grade students receive priority for parking permits.
- 11th grade students may register once the school year begins, pending availability.
- Students must park only in their assigned space in the designated student lot.
- Schalmont is a closed campus. Students are not allowed to leave during the school day unless permission is granted and verified by the Main Office.
- Unauthorized vehicles are not allowed on school property during school hours.
Vehicle Registration Details:
- Student Use of Vehicle Contract Due Date: August 12 (please use this Student Vehicle Approval Form)
- Parking Sticker pick up: August 18
- Parking Spot Design Approval Due Date: August 19 (submitted to Mrs. Heck)
- Parking Lot Painting Date: Friday, August 21, 8:00 a.m. to Noon (Rain date: August 28)
Important Reminder:
Failure to follow the parking regulations may result in loss of driving privileges. This includes repeated tardiness, unexcused absences, disciplinary issues, and/or academic deficiencies.
If you are unable to register on August 18th, please contact the High School Main Office at 518- 355-6110 to make alternate arrangements.
