Schalmont is excited to welcome Jessica Stanton as our new Jefferson Elementary Art Teacher!

Ms. Stanton, who was appointed at a special Board meeting this morning, will succeed Mrs. Popolizio, who has taken a position with another district. (Best wishes, Mrs. Popolizio!)

“We had some amazing candidates for the position but Jessica blew our committee away,” said Dr. Thomas Reardon. “Jessica comes to us with 15 years of teaching elementary art in the Scotia-Glenville CSD. She is beyond excited to bring her passion for the visual arts to Schalmont and she is a proud Schalmont alumna! Please join us in welcoming Jessica to our Sabre community!”

Schalmont is also pleased to welcome Colleen Sieme, a retired Art Teacher from Bethlehem CSD, as a long-term substitute. Mrs. Sieme will help ensure our Jefferson students’ art education is not interrupted as Ms. Stanton makes her own transition to Schalmont.
