Some Middle School students are spending their lunch periods volunteering to collect money for the City Mission of Schenectady to help the organization provide meals at Thanksgiving.

The efforts are part of the Sabre Service Club, a school group that helps students develop leadership qualities through community service experiences. Money collected will fund the City Mission’s annual Thanksgiving Meals program that provides meals to those in need during the holiday.
