HS Club Shares Kindness Lesson

Students listens to other student The Elevating Student Voices Club at Schalmont High School designed and delivered a lesson on kindness to 5th grade classrooms just before the break!

Students in the club visited Mr. Atkinson, Mrs. Kearney, and Miss Scotti’s classes for an activity where students shared thoughtful compliments with one another to create “Kindness Trees”. Students shared some of the kind words classmates wrote about them and the positive feelings it created.

“Did you see how the compliments made you feel? You can say something nice to someone today and make a difference to them,” junior Trinity Randle told a 5th grade class.

“The goal of the lesson was to help younger students understand that their words have power, and that even one small act of kindness can brighten someone’s day,” explained Teacher Mrs. Williams. “Students demonstrated how positivity and encouragement can help build a stronger, more supportive school community.”

Great job leading, Sabres! #sabrepride
