Schalmont’s Wind Ensemble and Concert Band once again made us proud last week with their outstanding performances at the NYS School Music Association’s Majors Festival!

The Wind Ensemble achieved a Gold with Distinction, the festival’s highest honor, performing a Level 5 ensemble piece while the Concert Band earned a Silver Medal for their impressive Level 4 repertoire!

“These achievements are a testament to the students’ dedication, countless hours of preparation and their passion for music,” said Schalmont Band Director Mr. Christy. “Adjudicators praised both ensembles not only for their musical excellence, but also recognized the district’s strong commitment to cultivating a vibrant and successful fine arts program.”
