Freshman & New HS Student Walkthrough on Sept. 3

Hello Schalmont Families,

We hope you are enjoying a fantastic summer with your loved ones! As we look forward to the upcoming 2026–27 school year, we are thrilled to welcome our new high school students. To help ease their transition, we invite them to join us for our Freshman and New Student Walkthrough on Thursday, September 3 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.

During this event, new students can pick up their class schedules and locker details, as well as take a self-guided tour of the building. This walkthrough provides a great opportunity for students to explore the school and locate their classrooms before the first day of classes.

Our High School Leadership Team, School Counselors, and New Sabres Team (current high school student leaders) will be available to assist you. They can answer questions from both a staff and student perspective and help guide students to their classrooms and other locations throughout the building.

Additionally, a Back to School Orientation will be held during the first week of school for all students in grades 9-12. This orientation will outline key information on attendance, student involvement, preparation, and general expectations for the school year.

If you have any questions regarding the walkthrough or the start of the school year, please contact your child’s school counselor, Mrs. Heck or myself.  We look forward to seeing you on September 3.

Thank you and be well,

Matthew Heckman, Principal
Kelsey Heck, Assistant Principal
