Schalmont Reassures Familes About MS Hold-in-Place

Schalmont wants to reassure our families about an incident at Schalmont Middle School this morning (Tuesday, May 12) where one of our students required medical assistance.

This morning, one of our Middle School students fell in a hallway and as a precaution we called for an emergency responder to assist. The school briefly followed hold-in-place procedures to keep students, faculty and staff in classrooms during a scheduled change of classes.

We thank our security team and emergency responders who quickly assisted our student. The student was taken by ambulance as a precaution and we believe at this time that there was no serious injury. We will continue to follow up with the family to ensure the student is okay.

We want to let our families know to ease any possible concerns, particularly with an ambulance called to our Middle School.

If you have any questions, please contact Principal Mr. Heckman (mheckman@schalmont.net). Thank you.
