Schalmont 7th graders enjoyed an opportunity to share computer games they created in their Discovering Computer Science elective this week.

With creative titles such as Owl Drop, Monkey Madness and Snake Bite, students shared their games that they coded themselves with classmates during a JavaScript Arcade in the school library.

“Students have learned about counter patterns, loops, conditional statements, abstraction, functions, Boolean expressions and more in order to create games similar to anything from Space Invaders to Plants vs. Zombies,” explained Teacher Ms. Rea.
