Congratulations to senior Nicholas Castiglione who has been selected to perform on French Horn with the NYS School Music Association Conference All-State Symphonic Band! Nicholas was also selected as an alternate for the All-State Mixed Choir.

Nicholas is Principal French Horn in Schalmont’s Wind Ensemble and a Section Leader in Concert Choir. He was selected to perform at the festival in Rochester’s Eastman Theatre later this year based on two very successful All-State NYSSMA solos last spring.

“Nicholas has been a valued member of the Schalmont Music Department for many years as a vocalist and instrumentalist,” said Music Teacher Mr. Christy. “We wish Nicholas well as he represents Schalmont at this prestigious festival!”
