New Transportation App Coming

Schalmont would like to let families know that we will use a new mobile app this year that should make checking the location of your child’s bus easier and more reliable.

The Stopfinder app will replace Here Comes the Bus, allowing families to track their children’s school bus in real-time and receive alerts. Stopfinder should work more consistently than Here Comes the Bus and hopefully resolve issues for families in Mariaville and Pattersonville who often lacked service with the previous app.

Unfortunately, the Stopfinder app will not be available until the end of September. We apologize for the delay but we are waiting for new GPS units to be installed, which should take place in about a week. We then need to test the system to make sure it’s working correctly, which should be finished by late September.

Parents and guardians will receive an email invitation when the system is ready.

Families can download the free Stopfinder app in the Apple App Store or Google Play (but please note the app will not work until Schalmont can activate the system). Stopfinder only provides information to authorized users to ensure the privacy and safety of our students.

If you have any questions, please contact Assistant Transportation Supervisor Jessica Warner at jwarner@schalmont.net or 518-356-1889 ext. 4202. Thank you.
