Schalmont can’t thank our community enough for celebrating the reopening of Woestina Elementary with us last night!
About 75 community members attended our Community Open House to once again walk the school’s hallways, which will be the home of our full-day Pre-K program starting this September.
Families talked with teachers and played in classrooms to help them settle into their new school. Former Woestina students and community members shared memories about the school and smiled to see it ready for Schalmont students once again after closing following the 2010-11 school year.
A special thank you to the Rotterdam Junction Volunteer Fire Department who came out to ensure they are familiar with the building’s layout and also join in the celebration! #sabrepride
