“If there’s a fire, we really want to find you and save you.”
Our Rotterdam Junction Volunteer Fire Dept. did a wonderful job building trust with our youngest Sabres Thursday, when they visited Woestina Elementary for Fire Prevention Day.
With their coats, helmets, and air tanks, firefighters can seem a little scary to a 4-year-old. But meeting the heroes behind the equipment did wonders to reassure our Pre-K students. Getting in a fire truck and wearing a plastic fire hat certainly helped as well.
Thank you so much to our local firefighters for visiting and caring so deeply about our community’s children! #sabrepride
