Schalmont High School Families,

We invite all Schalmont High School families to join us for our High School Open House on Wednesday, September 30 at 6:00 p.m. This event offers a wonderful opportunity to meet your student’s teachers and discover more about our academic program. During classroom presentations, teachers will cover course learning standards, grading procedures, academic expectations, and classroom culture.

Throughout the event, parents and guardians will follow their student’s schedule on an “A” day rotation. Upon arrival, please stop by the High School Main Lobby to get the evening’s program and your student’s schedule. Should Physical Education not appear on your schedule for the night, please make your way to the gymnasium during any scheduled study hall, math lab, or the science lab period.

Families are not expected to attend lunch or study hall periods. Instead, feel free to visit the main lobby to connect with our counseling department or school administrators.

For students enrolled in the morning BOCES CTE Program who do not have a HR/1st period, families should plan to arrive by 6:45 p.m. in time for their first high school class period. Schedules for these students will also be available in the main lobby.

If you have general questions about school policy or non-classroom topics, members of the administrative team will be available to assist you. For specific discussions regarding your student, teachers will have a “Family Conference Form” available so that a private meeting can be scheduled.
