Jefferson 1st graders enjoyed an opportunity to strap on snowshoes and have some snowy fun thanks to our friends at Thacher State Park!
For the second straight year, Thacher State Park staff brought plenty of snowshoes for our 1st grade classes as they taught children how to put them on before trekking across the school’s back fields.
To ensure all our 1st graders were included, Thacher State Park came back for multiple days to fit in all our classes. The best part for students was learning about animal tracks before pretending to be rabbits, deer and river otters as they jumped, ran and slid in the snow!
Thank you so much to the wonderful staff at Thacher State Park who spent so much time with our students over the past couple of weeks!
