Engineering Classes Visit RPI

Students work on STEM challenge

Schalmont High school students in Principles of Engineering classes enjoyed a visit to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute last week to participate in a STEM day.

“The engineering ambassadors constructed the day around the theme of chemical and polymer sciences,” explained Teacher Mrs. Stearns. “Topics presented included creating polymers, applications of chemical changes, and stress strain applications on materials. The students tried some hands-on applications on the topics and toured labs on campus.”

Thank you RPI for welcoming our students!
