FOOD PICK UP for Schalmont Families
Schalmont will host a food pick-up on Wednesday, July 29th. Families can drive through the High School Bus Circle from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM and pick up non-perishable food items. Masks must be worn while on campus and picking up items. Staff will stay socially distanced while giving food items.
Did you miss the Yearbook Pick-up Event?
Don’t worry! We are hosting another yearbook pick up for students who ordered them at the following times:
Tuesday, July 28th, 3:00 PM – 7: PM
Wednesday, July 29th, 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
All pickups will be in the New Gym Lobby. Students must wear a mask when coming on campus and must stay socially distanced when picking up your yearbook.
School Health Updates
Hello Schalmont community, this is an update on school requirements regarding student Health Exams. All new students to the district and those entering K, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 & 11 must attend and submit a Health (well-child visit) exam form this year. Health exams are to be completed by an NYS certified physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner and are valid for 1 year only. Please send your child’s medical provider signed exam to your school nurse via mail, email, or fax. Please refer to Schalmont’s website as needed to review this requirement.
Middle School ONLY
Schalmont Middle school requirements regarding Tdap and Meningococcal vaccinations. Tdap vaccine is required for school attendance for students 11 years of age. Please provide proof of immunization or an appointment card for your child’s 11-year-old Immunization appointment to your school nurse. 1 dose of Meningococcal vaccine is required for entrance into 7th and 8th grade. Please mail, fax, or email your school nurse medical provider signed documentation of these vaccinations. Please refer to Schalmont’s website as needed for review of this requirement.
High School ONLY
Schalmont High School requirements regarding the meningococcal vaccination. Those students entering 9th, 10th and 11th grade must show proof of 1 dose of the meningococcal vaccine. Those students entering grade 12, need to show proof of 2 doses of meningococcal vaccine or 1 dose if dose 1 was received at 16 years of age or older. Please mail, fax or email your school nurse with medical provider signed documentation of these vaccinations. Please refer to Schalmont’s website as needed to review this requirement.
Jefferson Kindergarten students ONLY
Jefferson elementary immunization requirements for school entry. All Kindergarten students must provide proof of the following immunizations.
MMR 2 doses
DTap 5 doses or 4 doses if the 4th dose was received at 4 years of age or older
Polio 4 doses or 3 doses if the 3rd dose was received at 4 years of age or older
Hepatitis B 3 doses
Varicella 2 doses
If your child is on a catch-up schedule please contact your school nurse. The only catch-up schedule accepted by the school is the ACIP schedule.
