Two Students Test Positive for COVID-19

We want to inform our community that we learned today (December 31) that one of our elementary school students and one of our middle school students have tested positive for COVID-19.

Neither of the students, however, have had any contact with students, faculty or staff that requires contact tracing or additional quarantining. The individuals will remain in quarantine but the Health Department informed us no further action is required.

Please know we will notify our entire school community whenever we have a confirmed case that requires others to quarantine. If the Health Department determines your child should quarantine due to possible exposure to COVID-19, you will receive a personal call from us to let you know and answer any questions you may have.

If you have any questions or concerns about this, please feel free to contact Superintendent Dr. Thomas Reardon at treardon@schalmont.net or 518-355-9200 ext. 4001.

Thank you and be safe.
