Tournament of Books & Dress Up Days

Jefferson Elementary School will celebrate March Madness in their classrooms with a Tournament of Books.

Students will vote on book choices and a winner will be named at the end of the month.

There also will be the following fun dress up days on Tuesdays that students are welcome to participate in.

  • March 2 – Pattern Day: Wear Dr. Seuss stripes in honor of the author’s birthday or be like a Seuss-inspired character and wear all sorts of patterns such as stripes, polka dots, animal prints and camouflage.
  • March 9 – Timber Day: Wear your lumberjack-inspired clothing such as flannels, plaids and overalls.
  • March 16 – Switcheroo Day: Students can dress like a teacher or staff member and adults will dress like students.
  • March 23 – Denim Day: Wear everything denim, including shirts, pants, jackets or overalls.
  • March 30 – Heroes Day: Dress up like a superhero or a community hero such as police officers, firefighters, doctors, nurses or military.
