Three Students Positive for COVID-19

Dear Schalmont families,

We want to inform our community we learned today (February 16) that two High School students and one Middle School student have tested positive for COVID-19.

Neither contact tracing nor additional quarantining is required based on the students’ last day in school and the onset of symptoms. The individuals will remain in quarantine but the Health Department informed us no further action is required.

Please know we will notify our entire school community whenever we have a confirmed case that requires others to quarantine. If the Health Department determines your child should quarantine due to possible exposure to COVID-19, you will receive a personal call from us to let you know and answer any questions you may have.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me (treardon@schalmont.net or 518-355-9200 ext. 4001). We want to hear from you if you have concerns.

Thank you and be well.

Dr. Thomas Reardon
Superintendent
