Jefferson Elementary School students in Ms. Kinns’ class recently enjoyed an opportunity to see and touch a therapy goat, rabbit and chickens after learning about therapy animals in class.
For the past few years, parent Kristen Durrin has brought her therapy animals to the school so students can learn about them. On November 6, students had plenty of questions for Ms. Durrin including how old the animals are and what they ate. Students then had a chance to sit with the animals and pet them.
Ms. Kinns noted the visit was a great way to bring what students had learned in class to life as students spent time learning about the animals as well as how therapy animals help comfort people.
Thank you Ms. Durrin for sharing your therapy animals with our students!
