Just in time for Halloween, students in Mrs. Mattice’s English 10 and English 10 Honors classes this week created original spooky short story plotlines.
Students have been studying short fiction and analyzing various authors’ craft moves and techniques. This week they had the opportunity to work independently, to collaborate with other students or partner with a family member at home to develop their own eerie stories.
“Mixing virtual, remote, and fully remote students up with peers and family as partners in learning was a fun change of pace for the week,” explained Mrs. Mattice. “Provided with an electronic story board platform, students workshopped and conferenced with their peers and teacher on their stories. Virtual Wednesdays will be future platforms for students to share their stories and ideas.”
