Remote Student Tests Positive for COVID-19

Dear Schalmont families,

We want to inform our community we learned today (January 13) that a High School student has tested positive for COVID-19.

The student, however, is a fully remote learner and has had no contact with students, faculty or staff that requires contact tracing or additional quarantining. The student will remain in quarantine but the Health Department informed us no further action is required.

Please know we will notify our entire school community whenever we have a confirmed case that requires others to quarantine. If the Health Department determines your child should quarantine due to possible exposure to COVID-19, you will receive a personal call from us to let you know and answer any questions you may have.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me (treardon@schalmont.net or 518-355-9200 ext. 4001). We want to hear from you if you have concerns.

Thank you and be well.

Dr. Thomas Reardon
Superintendent
