Schalmont would like to share with our community some personnel news and changes to the district’s administrative structure.

At Wednesday’s meeting, the Board of Education announced the retirement of Director of Pupil Personnel Services Shari Rosato, who has spent 22 years with Schalmont. Ms. Rosato will stay with Schalmont through the end of the year to help with the transition and serve as a lead evaluator for Annual Professional Performance Reviews. We thank Ms. Rosato for her many years of service to our community.

Rebecca Grabicki will succeed Ms. Rosato as she assumes the new title of Director of Academic and Instructional Support Services. Special Education supervision will remain Mrs. Grabicki’s foundational responsibility but she will also oversee districtwide curriculum development and instructional improvement.

The district is already creating a search committee to hire a new Assistant Principal at Jefferson Elementary School with the hope of filling the position for the start of the upcoming school year.

Schalmont would also like to share that Food Services Director Rene Heller is leaving Schalmont to take a similar position at another district. Schalmont is already interviewing candidates and hopes to fill the position before the start of the school year. We thank Ms. Heller for her outstanding work leading the Food Services department for Schalmont.
