Engineering students visit former Sabre at RPI for Stem Day

The Principles of Engineering students recently took a field trip to RPI to participate in a STEM day.

The day was led by a former engineering and Schalmont student Rachel Stagnitti.

The students participated in a presentation called: Science of the Slam - Presentation by Professor John Drazan about biomechanics and application to sports.

Students then were shown a presentation on the basics of potential and kinetic energy applications involved with roller coasters design and enjoyment. Students then participated in a competition to design and build the best roller coaster inspired by a new understanding of forces, energy and Imagineering.
The day ended with a discussion and answer session on the college experiences of the engineering ambassadors.
