Dear Schalmont families,
We want to inform our community we learned Wednesday afternoon (October 13) that three Middle School students and a High School student have tested positive for COVID-19.
We have already contacted the small number of families who the Schenectady County Department of Health advised us should quarantine their children as a precaution. The school will remain open for instruction as closing our school is not recommended.
Please know that the health and safety of your children is our top priority. We thank the tireless efforts of the county Health Department for their continued guidance and help.
If you have any questions at all please make sure to contact us. We want to hear from you if you have concerns. You can contact me (email@example.com or 518-355-9200 ext. 4001), Principal Scott Ziomek (firstname.lastname@example.org or 518-355-1342 ext. 5002), Principal Matt Heckman (email@example.com or 518-355-6110 ext. 3002), or School Nurse Coordinator Tara Bush (firstname.lastname@example.org or 518-355-6110 ext. 3041).
Thank you and be well,
Dr. Thomas Reardon
