Meals Returning to 2019-2020 Prices

Student with school lunch

Schalmont would like to let families know that school meals will no longer be free for the 2022-2023 school year as federal funding that made it possible the past two years has ended.

To help ease the impact on our families, Schalmont is keeping our breakfast and lunch meals the same price as in 2019-2020. Lunch will be $2.75 for Elementary and Middle School and $3.50 for High School. Breakfast will be $1.75 for Elementary and Middle School and $2.75 for High School.

Free and Reduced Price Meal Program

Families are encouraged to fill out a Free and Reduced Price School Meals application if they believe they may qualify. Please note, this is a completely confidential program.

More information and an application is available here.

Policy information about the program is available here.

Please contact Food Services Director Maria Zarrillo at 518-355-1342 ext. 5069 or with any questions.

Beginning July 1, 2019, students in New York State that are approved for reduced price meals will receive breakfast and lunch meals at no charge.
