Schalmont Middle School students enjoyed a fun math lesson last week as Ms. Gandrow’s Algebra 1 class participated in a Math Olympics. Students took turns competing in events such as speed walking, broad jump, jump rope and eating Starburst candies while recording their results.
“Students collected real-life data to be used in class as they learn about dimensional analysis,” explained Ms. Gandrow. “The kids loved the activity and were so excited about it.”
