A group of Jefferson Elementary teachers and staff enjoyed time together at a workshop recently as part of a Summer of Kindness initiative.

First grade Teacher Ms. Pink explained students enjoyed a similar workshop this past spring where they discussed what kindness means to them. Last summer, students also helped a local humane society and distributed bicycle helmets as part of the initiative.

“Students discussed how they could show kindness to others, their community and the planet,” explained Teacher Ms. Pink. “This event was an extension of those ideas as well as how to instill and encourage acts of kindness for future students. Be part of the movement and sprinkle kindness over the summer!”
