Course selection for 2019-20 has begun

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Scheduling for the 2019-20 School Year has begun in the High School.

We have updated our Course Guidebook; this is a great resource for parents and students to review class options and review building procedures related to scheduling, grades, class rankings etc.  I would highly encourage families to review that information prior to setting student schedules with their counselors.

For current 9th grade students, on March 11 and 12 Mr. Loiacono will be going to English 9 classes to go over graduation requirements and have students input their own course requests for next year. Mr. Loiacono will review course options and requirements, and make suggestions for students to start their selection process.  After students make their initial selections, he will meet with each student individually to review and approve their requests.  We will send home their requests for their parents to see as usual in June.  The parents will be able to see their requests on the Parent Portal, but won’t have access to change them.

In the coming weeks, our 10th and 11th graders will meet individually with their counselors to start their selection process.  After students complete their initial selection, the guidance office will send home those requests for parental review and approval.

If you have any specific questions, please make sure to refer to the guidebook and also speak with your child’s counselor:
