Principal’s Writing Challenge winners announced

Congratulations to the winners of Mrs. Taylor’s third “Principal’s Writing Challenge!”

The contest, open to any student in grades 5-8, focused on persuasive writing based on the following prompt:
Your principal has asked students to suggest a school rule that should be changed. Think of one rule that you would like to have changed. Write a letter convincing your principal that this rule should be changed. Be sure to support your opinion with convincing reasons and evidence.

Entries were judged on originality, creativity and style. Three winners were announced per grade. The winners are:

Grade 5: Emily George, Dylan Mahar, and Hannah Dean.
Grade 6: Sarah Pegarella, Paige LeFevre, and Madison Liuzzi.
Grade 7: Griffin Galvin, Mya Taite, and April Buechner.
Grade 8: Hamza Noor, Veronica Lybrand, Amber Alvis.

Principal’s Writing Challenge winners
