A Better Way to Grab A Bite:
NUTRIKIDS system to be used in all school cafeterias in 2010-11

The Schalmont Food Services Department will begin using the NUTRIKIDS Point of Sale (POS) Computer System districtwide in the 2010-11 school year to improve the speed, accuracy and privacy of cafeteria purchases. Learn more.

Free and Reduced Price Meals
Schalmont Central School District offers healthy meals every school day, including lunch and breakfast at all schools. Children from households that meet federal income guidelines are eligible for free or reduced price meals. Learn more about applying for free meals or reduced price meals. To apply for free or reduced price meals, submit a Direct Certification letter from the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance OR complete the Free and Reduced Lunch Application, sign it, and return it to the school as soon as possible.

 


Pre-paying for Meals
If you would like to pre-pay for your child's meals, please send your child into school with a check made out to "Schalmont School Lunch Fund." If your child is in elementary school, he or she can give the check to his or her teacher. If your child is in middle or high school, he or she can bring it down to the cafeteria during a meal time and give it to a cashier.

Elementary Schools:

  • $1.75 daily
  • $8.75/5 lunches
  • $35/21 lunches

Middle & High Schools:

  • $2 daily
  • $10/5 lunches
  • $40/21 lunches

Reduced Price Lunches:

  • $0.25 daily
  • $1.25/5 lunches
  • $5/20 lunches
