Woestina
Elementary recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of Schalmont
Central School District with a variety of events, including a
time capsule ceremony, Golden Flashback Dance Celebration and
library discussions highlighting 50 years of award-winning
literature. For the time capsule ceremony, representatives from
each grade level (listed below) were chosen to present items for
inclusion. After the time capsule was sealed, fifth-graders
Emilee Ryder and Peter Hughes carried it outside to be buried in
front of the school while their fellow students watched. Another
fifth-grader, Marcus Ramundo, was selected to toss the first
shovel of dirt over the time capsule.Time Capsule
