Fifth-graders learn to resist peer
pressure:
Fifth-graders at Woestina Elementary School recently joined
their peers from Jefferson and Mariaville to spend a day learning about the dangers of
tobacco, alcohol and drug abuse.

Youth wrestling camp opportunity:
The Schalmont Wrestling Club is
holding a youth wrestling camp for students in grades K-6 from
July 5-8. Registration and payment are due by June 20.

schools navigate time of transition:
This September, all students in grades K-4 will learn together
in one building, Jefferson Elementary School, and fifth-graders
will attend Schalmont Middle School. Many plans are in place to
ensure the transition is a positive experience for all involved.

Stones parent newsletter now available:

Stepping Stones, which focuses on building strong bodies and
minds. Hard copies of the newsletter will be distributed via
backpack mail in the near future.

success:
Kindergarten registration for all Schalmont students who will be
five years old by December 1, 2011, was held on March 8 at
Jefferson Elementary School.
