Dear Parents and Guardians,
I would like to welcome back
our students, parents and staff to another school year at
Mariaville Elementary School. Our first day of school is
Wednesday September 8, and it is a full day of school.
During the first few days of school we will be sending home a
number of important items, such as a student information form,
and a Parent Newsletter with the Mariaville School calendar for
September. Please pay close attention to what your child is
bringing home, particularly on the first few days of school.
We are excited to see our students coming back to school again!
We have been busy all summer preparing for the start of the new
school year. We have some new staff members to teach our
students for this school year. Mr. Croote will be our Physical
Education Teacher, Mr. Pattison will be our Art teacher, and
Mrs. Porco will be our Speech Teacher.
We have many big events coming
up in September, such as the PTO meeting on September 14th at
6:30 p.m., and our Open House on September 22th at 6:30 p.m. I
also want to let you know about an important new initiative in
our school district. Schalmont has instituted a Shared
Facilitation Team Committee at each of our schools. This will
enable our entire school community to participate in decisions
affecting the school. More information on the Shared
Facilitation Team will be included in the September Parent
Newsletter.
