Students Prepped for
Summer Reading at MS Library Open House:
On Thursday, June 17, the Schalmont Middle School Library hosted
a Summer Reading Open House. Mrs. Gifford, the children's
librarian at the Schenectady Public Library, was on hand to
speak with students and staff about the New York State-sponsored
Summer Reading Initiative, as well as to inform students about
programs and volunteering opportunities at the public library.
Mrs. Fasano, MS librarian, and Mrs. Caputo played hosts to the
many visitors coming through for good conversation and sharing,
and of course, delicious refreshments!
Literacy Night Pictures Are Here! A good
time was had by all. Take a look at the pictures and you can see
for yourself!

Summer Readers Earn a Sweet Reward:
Schalmont Middle School
recently held an ice cream party to celebrate students who
successfully completed the MS summer reading program.
