  • Has approximately 450 students.
  • Has a faculty of approximately 50 full- or part-time teachers.
  • Has special area teaching staff for reading, special education, physical education, art, home & careers, health, technology, music, Gateway to Technology, French, and Spanish.

About the Program

  • The school operates on a rotating schedule and each grade level has teams of teachers responsible for the total program.
  • Students work on projects which integrate all academic areas, including math, science, English, social studies and technology.
  • Core courses in math, science, English and social studies are taught daily at each grade level. The school also provides health (grades 6 & 8); a formal reading course (grade 6); art; music and physical education; French and Spanish (grades 7 & 8); home and careers; and technology (grades 7 & 8).
  • Grade 8 students can accelerate into Math A and 9th grade French, Spanish or Physical Setting (earth science).
  • Academic Intervention Services are offered in the areas of reading, mathematics and writing.
  • All students have the option to participate in clubs, activities, intramural sports, chorus, instrumental music lessons, and band.
