About the Program
- The school operates on a
rotating schedule and each grade level has teams of teachers
responsible for the total program.
- Students work on projects
which integrate all academic areas, including math, science,
English, social studies and technology.
- Core courses in math,
science, English and social studies are taught daily at each
grade level. The school also provides health (grades 6 & 8); a
formal reading course (grade 6); art; music and physical
education; French and Spanish (grades 7 & 8); home and
careers; and technology (grades 7 & 8).
- Grade 8 students can
accelerate into Math A and 9th grade French, Spanish or
Physical Setting (earth science).
- Academic Intervention
Services are offered in the areas of reading, mathematics and
writing.
- All students have the option
to participate in clubs, activities, intramural sports,
chorus, instrumental music lessons, and band.
