2011 Middle School Facilitation
Team Survey Results
Last fall,
the middle school Facilitation Committee surveyed staff,
students, and parents regarding their perceptions concerning
aspects of the middle school program. The survey included
questions about academics, peer relationships, emotional/social
growth, study habits, health, and wellness. In addition to
answering questions those who participated in the survey had the
opportunity to write more detailed comments.
Overall the responses were very positive. There were two main
areas of concern: study skills and nutrition. The middle school
Facilitation Committee established a sub-committee with the goal
of creating ways to improve student study skills. The
sub-committee identified numerous activities currently in place
at the middle school which foster organizational skills and
study habits for students. We will continue to collaborate with
the faculty to create consistent and integrated study skill
strategies. We have passed on the survey information regarding
nutrition to the Healthy Kids Committee as this topic is a
principal charge of that committee.
We will continue to keep you informed as we work together to
improve aspects of our program. Thank you to all who
participated in the survey. We appreciate your time and
comments. If you have any questions or concerns please contact
us by the e-mail link below.
