Four
Schalmont High School seniors - Mike Azzaro, Coleman
Jennes, Dan McCrossan, and Brandon Vine -
recently spent a week in Jackson Hole, Wyo., building trails
in the Bridger Teton National Forest. They went as part of a
Boy Scout service project called ArrowCorps 5.
The local contingent consisted of 15
scouts (pictured), and nearly 1,000 Boy Scouts from
across the country participated in the volunteer
project. Together they built approximately 15 miles of
hiking trails. The scouts worked with the National Park
Service to complete the project.
Azzaro, Jennes, McCrossan, and Vine each
contributed approximately 35 hours of work at elevations
above 8,400 feet. They were rewarded for their volunteer
work with a day trip to Yellowstone Park and a
whitewater rafting trip on the Snake River.
Congratulations are in
order for these students, who used their summer to help
the National Park Service in a way that will benefit
many other people.
