Vincent Gallo at the Mohonasen Invitational in 2007Congratulations to Schalmont High School junior Vincent Gallo on placing second in the 171 pounds weight class at the 2009 New York State high school wrestling championships. Gallo is the second Schalmont wrestler ever to reach the state finals.
 
Gallo has had several successes as an athlete in Schalmont. This year, he tied the school record with 38 wins in wrestling and was an all-state wrestler. He was also named to the Football Class B West Division All-star 1st Team in the fall.
