McKelvey truly is a jack of all trades. He is an honors
student, plays three sports, holds down a part-time job,
and is enrolled in the New Visions Health and Careers
program at St. Peter's Health Care Services in Albany.
This fall, he is captain of the Varsity Football team
and quarterback for the second year in a row. During the
2007-08 school year, he threw for 600 yards, had seven
touchdowns, and made two interceptions on defense. He
also played on the HS Varsity Baseball and Hockey teams.
In baseball, one of the many records he set was for the
highest batting average in a season. He also was named
Colonial Council All-Star Co-League MVP. In hockey, he
broke the New York State record for most hockey goals
scored in a single game.
