Congratulations to Coleman Jennes, a senior
at Schalmont High School, on finishing the regular Colonial
Council track season undefeated in the shot put and winning
the Colonial Council Championships.
Jennes participated and finished fourth in
the shot put in the Eddy meet, one of the most prestigious
track meets in New York State. He is the first Schalmont
track athlete in over 15 years to score in this meet.
Jennes continued his season by
capturing the class BB sectional championships in the
discus. At the state qualifying meet on June 4, he threw the
shot 50’8” and qualified for the state meet to be held in
Syracuse on Friday, June 12. He is the first Schalmont track
athlete to go to the state meet in ten years.
