Ebooks
In 2010, e-books or
electronic books became available in the school library.
These books will be identified in our
school library catalog with the designation electronic resource
when searching for materials on a topic. Click on the chain link
at the bottom of the citation and you will be directed to the
electronic version of a reference work available 24/7. In
conjunction with our school library system through BOCES, we
were able to purchase valuable reference sources at a fraction
of the price. Some titles include: Encyclopedia of Food and
Culture, Forensic Science, and Gale Contextual Encyclopedia of
World Literature. A complete list of titles can be found on
Mrs. Gold's web page.
Library Printing Service
Ever gone to print a major writing assignment at home and
realized you're out of paper or ink? Schalmont High School
Library is now offering a student printing service to help solve
just such a problem. A student who needs to print a document for
class can e-mail it to studentprinting@sabrenet.net.
The student must then go to the HS Library and ask the
librarian, Mrs. Gold, to print out the document.
