 Meet
the Counselors
|
Do you know anything about your Guidance Counselor? Since
we are not in the classroom, contact with students varies from
student to student. Some students we know very well, others not
as well. We feel it is important for you to know a little about
us: our background and educational experiences, interests and
some views on education. Hopefully, this will give you an idea
of who we are as we develop our relationships with students and
parents.
Please take the time to meet us personally in our offices during
a free period or lunch, (with a pass, of course!). Just stop by
before homeroom or after school and make an appointment!
High School Guidance Counselors,
Mr. Bailey,
Miss Hughes, and
Mrs. Schmidt
provide an organized program of counseling, instruction, and
consultation to all students. This includes an annual review of
each student's progress, college and career guidance and
planning, advisement and counseling services, and opportunities
for parental involvement.
Students are informed of the visitations of college admissions
staff, armed services recruiters and prospective employers
through the morning announcements. The times and sates of the
visits of these personnel are also available in the Guidance
Office. Parents and students are encouraged to attend these
meetings.
