Grades 9-12
What are my graduation requirements?
Students are responsible for knowing what courses are needed for graduation. Guidance Counselors will assist you in making wise course selections, but ultimately, the decision to take, or not take a course, rests with you and your parents. You may want to print out this list of grade level requirements before you meet with your counselor. By 2008, all students will be required to get a Regents diploma. The following chart explains passing requirements for the classes of 2006-2008, as the local diploma is phased out.

What courses are offered to high school students?
Courses are offered to students only if there is enough enrollment. If you are interested in taking an elective, check with your Guidance Counselor to see if it is being offered for a particular term. Not all courses are offered every year. Check out the list of available courses and discuss it with your parents and counselor. Please also be aware that many courses have pre-requisites.
