The Schalmont High
School Girls Varsity Bowling Team topped off their 2007-2008
season by winning the Colonial Council Championship this
February. This was the first such win in the history of
Schalmont. The girls also finished third at the recent
sectional tournament.
This season, the
team was led by eighth-grader Natasha Bidwell with a 180
average, 11th-grader Renee Tomasek with a 172 average and
ninth-grader Meredith Juers with a 174 average. Juers also
had the highest three-game series (i.e. high triple) with a
score of 666. Bidwell, Tomasek and Juers are joined on the

The team record
was 10-2 in the league and 12-3 overall. Four players were
named All-stars: Renee Tomasek, Natasha Bidwell and Meredith
Juers on the first team; Marissa Leone on the second team.
