Sept. 26, 2011—The
Schalmont Athletic Association
raised more than $13,000 at its Fifth Annual SAA Golf
Tournament at Western Turnpike Golf Course in Guilderland on
Monday, Sept. 19.

More than 70 community members came out to show their support
of student-athletes in mid-September by participating in the
fifth annual SAA golf tournament. The winning team of Jim
Hamilton, Bob Hamilton, Chris LaVallee and Anthony Yezzo are
pictured above.

Thanks to generous community support, the association will
be able to continue to support student-athletes and the
Schalmont Central School District athletic program.
AWARDS
The SAA passed out several
awards at the end of the tournament. The top positions were
filled by the teams of:
- 1st Place – Jim Hamilton, Bob Hamilton, Anthony
Yezzo and Chris LaVallee
- 2nd Place – Dave Barbagelata, Peter Savage, Kevin
Sternberg and Keith Daniels
- 3rd Place – Tom Burchardt, Mike Brown, Dave Connell
and Tony Pepicelli
- 4th Place – Eric Minkiewicz, Paul Harding, Fred
Frank and Steve Frank
In the closest-to-the-pin contest,
Sherry Haller
placed first among women, and
Chris Amorosi
placed first among men.
Mike Perkins and Valerie O'Dell
received awards for being the golfers with the longest
drive.
RAFFLE
The winner of the $500 cash raffle
was Bob Hamilton while Terry Nash won $300 and Ed Cardinal won
$100. Congratulations!
