September 9, 2011—As the new school year gets underway, please make sure that you are signed up to receive School News Notifier (SNN) messages for the appropriate schools, particularly if your children have entered a new school building.

You can check on the notifications you are set to receive—and change them—anytime by logging in to SNN at the bottom of the page found at https://snn.neric.org/schalmont/ (scroll down to the area that says "Returning Users Login") and follow these instructions:

• Use your e-mail address and password set at the time of registration to log-in. There is a "Forgot Password" link if you no longer have yours.
• Once you have successfully logged in, your profile page will appear with a check mark next to the notifications you are set to receive.
• Select new notifications by checking the box next to them. Uncheck any notifications you no longer wish to receive.
• If you are changing notifications, Click "Update Profile" at the bottom of that page. That will bring you to a confirmation page where you can logout.

The district also offers text message alerts for school closings and delays due to inclement weather or other reason. Make sure you sign-up for this feature to receive notifications on your cell phone.
